Has Alzheimer's Society ever funded research into cannabis and dementia?

Alzheimer's Society has never funded research into CBD oil and dementia risk, or into cannabis as a potential treatment for dementia symptoms.
This is because they claim they have not received any high-quality applications from researchers intending to investigate these issues.

If they received a high-quality application into cannabis and dementia from a researcher based at a UK university, research institute or NHS trust, then they might consider this for funding.

It is just amazing to me that Alzheimer's Society is not actively involved in CBD oil benefits research.

They might get funds from large pharmaceuticals?
